Yellow Emperor’s Inner Canon said that take the five cereals as tonify food. It means that the five cereals is the base of diet and regimen. In Chinese medicine has the same saying too.

Regimen of Deficiency of Kidney Yang ( 1 )

People with dificient of kidney yang are not proper to eat cold food which are easily to damage yang qi. And oily food are not appropriate to eat. Such as aloe, nonglutinous rice, buckwheat, hulless oat, bean curd, pine nut, duck, agaric, balsam pear, wild rice shoots, celery, Chinese watermelon, eggplant, water spinach, banana, honey and so on.

Constipation caused by deficiency of yang should not eat food of antidiarrheic which can aggravate constipation such as lotus seed, quava, gorgon fruit, dark plum, sticky rice, river prawn and so on.

Deficiency Of Kidney Yang

Deficiency of kidney yang is a kind of pathological change of weakness of warming, disorder of gasify, cold generate from inner body, sexual ability and reproduction decline.

It can caused by many factors such as innate weakness, aging, chronic diseases and excessive sexual intercourse. People who are deficient of kidney yang will feel sour and pain in waist and knees, feel cold especially the legs.
