What is energy(精气jingqi) in Chinese medicine? Energy is some tiny thing all over the world. It is the element of everything, including our human beings.
There are two existent states of energy——materiality and immateriality. And these two states convert from each other. The movement of enegry makes the whole world change constantly, which can be seen in many aspects.
Energy is the agency of contact between one thing and another, and it can come into the body and turn to a part of it.
Energy can also leave too. When it is disappear from the body, we die.
Salt food is good to kidney, but eating too much will do harm to your heart. Because heart is the origin of blood, salt will restrain generating of blood, forcing blood gather in the vessel. When eating too much salt your face will turn black which means you are not healthy as before.
So if you often feel palpitation, gasp, chest pain and such symptom of lacking heart energy, you had better eating less salt from now on.
This herb belongs to spleen and stomach meridian. It can accelerate the process of digest, expel redundant water of body, reduce sweat, anti-abortion. It used to cure inappetence, abdominal distension, diarrhea, veitigo, spontaneous perspiration, edema, and too much quickening.
When accelerating the process of digest, it can be used with codonopsis pilosula and liquorice. And when doing with abdominal distension, it can be used with zhiqiao(枳壳). C henpi(陈皮) and tuckahoe(茯苓)with 白术 is good to promote the functiion of spleen and make the body drier.
Usually the dose of it is 6 to 12 g.
